Pat LaFaye, age 66, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas died Friday, May 11, 2012 at his home in Cherokee Village. He was born August 4, 1945 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Jack and Margaret LaFaye. He was an aircraft mechanic for Northwest Airlines for thirty-seven years. Pat served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Enterprise and the Ticonderoga. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Christopher LaFaye; and one brother, Michael LaFaye. Survivors include his wife Rita LaFaye; one son, Troy LaFaye; one daughter, Alexandria LaFaye and granddaughter Adia LaFaye of Illinois; one brother, James LaFaye of Minnesota; three sisters, Geraldine Handy of Minnesota, Jackie Jenson of Utah, and Midge Kneer of Minnesota; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will begin Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brad Hartness officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all memorials be made to curepc.org in Pat’s name.
