Jerome Norwood

Jerome Norwood, age 77 of Highland, Arkansas formerly of Cleveland, Mississippi, passed away Friday, February 01, 2013 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born November 7, 1935 in Cleveland, Mississippi to W.C. and Izona (Tedder) Norwood. He was involved in city government in Cleveland, Mississippi and was former mayor of Highland, Arkansas. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Jan (Phillips) Norwood of the home; two sons, Carl Norwood and wife Wendy of Cleveland, Mississippi and Joe Norwood and wife Judy of Greenville, Mississippi; two daughters, Renea Singley and husband Gary of Cleveland, Mississippi and Donna Overton and husband Steven of Highland, Arkansas; one sister, Belinda Houston of Booneville, Mississippi; thirteen Grandchildren; ten Great Grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel located in Highland, Arkansas.
