Maria Laxton

Maria Laxton, age 56 of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born December 9, 1956 in Rico Riestemp to Trinidad Zuniga-Los Aldamas Nuevo Leon Mexico. Maria was a foreman at the hospital and a housewife. She was a member of the Highland Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her husband Scott Laxton of the home; two daughters Yvonne Lopez and husband Marcelino of San Jose, California and Melinda Armendariz of Freemont, California; four brothers, Marcelino Zuniga, Fedeinlcio Zuniga, Mike Zuniga, and John Zuniga; one sister, Anita Gonzalaz; five Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will begin Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Highland Assembly of God Church located in Highland, Arkansas with Pastor Chris Clem officiating. Burial will follow in the Turkey Pen Cemetery located in Hardy, Arkansas. Visitation will be Sunday, November 24, 2013 at the Highland Assembly of God Church from 2:00 p.m. until service time.
