Melvin Rick

Melvin Rick, 91, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Ash Flat Healthcare and Rehab in Ash Flat, Arkansas. He was born in Danville, Illinois, on January 27, 1923, to Peter and Emilie Lange Rick. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Cherokee Village and had retired as a supervisor for CSX Railroad. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Survivors include his wife Mary of the home and sons Stephen Rick of Harrison, Arkansas, and Brian (Mary) Rick of Evansville, Indiana; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 7, at 11:00 a.m. in the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery located in Highland, Arkansas. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
