Aubra Gonterman

Aubra Gonterman, 94, of Ash Flat, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born the son of Orville Simpson Gonterman and Carrie Pearl Thompson Gonterman in Cub Run, Kentucky, on December 28, 1920. Mr. Gonterman was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and worked for General Electric in Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eileen Kerr Gonterman and three brothers: Morrison Liebon Gonterman, Nelson Lee Gonterman, and Carl Freeman Gonterman. Survivors include his sister Zella G. Thompson of Mumfordville, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, January 17, at 11 a.m. in Thayer Cemetery located in Thayer, Missouri. No visitation is planned. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
