Lorene Whitman

Lorene Whitman, 93, of Pontiac, Michigan, formerly of Hardy, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2015. She was most proud of her closeness with Bible scriptures and the fact that she worked as a welder (a Rosie the Riveter) for an aviation company in Kansas City, Mo. during World War II. Funeral services were Friday, April 17, in Pontiac under the direction of Coats Funeral Home of Waterford, Michigan. Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, in Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat, Arkansas. Local arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
