Anna Rock

Anna Marie Rock, 54, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed from this earth Tuesday, January 26, 2016. She was born October 6, 1961, at Kansas City, Missouri. Anna married Jerry Rock on July 25, 1988, in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. To this union five children were born: Valeta, Timothy, Ashley, Jerri, and Malachi. Anna and Jerry moved to Cherokee Village, Arkansas, in 1994. Anna worked at The Red Mule in Highland for 11 years. She knew everyone; there was no stranger. She was a foster parent and to some children a second mother. Anna also worked at First National Bank in Ash Flat. She loved all children; not one was ever turned away. If you were a friend, you were one for life. She loved her family which had many nieces and nephews. They would always preorder peanut butter cookies, and she would supply them. Anna was baptized December 16, 1962, in Bonner Springs, Kansas, at Sacred Heart of Jesus. She made her confirmation on February 22, 2001. Her daughter Ashley was her godmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Geraldine and Lloyd Whisler; a daughter Valeta Jewel Rock; grandparents, Homer and Ellen Parker; a nephew, Raymond Martin Whisler; grandparents, Fred and Grace Whisler; father-in-law, Joe Daniels. Anna is survived by her husband, Jerry; her children: Tim (Emily) Rock, Ashley (James) Hooks, Jerri (Jamie) Watson, and Malachi; grandchildren: Katie, Matthew, Allie, Tucker, Alexis, Vanessa, Melody, Addison, James, Kaleb, Tatum, and Wyatt; sisters, Margie Daniels and Missy (Bobby) Long; brothers, Lloyd (Kay) Whisler and Fred Whisler; mother-in-law, Agretha Daniels; and many other relatives and good friends. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 29, at Tri-County Funeral Home in Highland.
