Jimmie Crane

Jimmie Wayne Crane, 74, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born November 5, 1941, at Marysville, California, to John and Clara Belle Hurst Crane. Mr. Crane served in the U.S. Navy for seven and a half years on the U.S.S. Nereus (AS-17) and was a fireman for 29 years in southern California. He was a past Master of two Masonic lodges and a member of Cherokee Village United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Albert, and two sisters, Doris and Viola. Survivors include his wife, Annette Kucia Crane; his sons, Eugene Stronk of Bangor, Maine, and James (Marianne) Crane of Moreno Valley, California; a brother, Irvin Spowehn of California; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be announced by the family at a later date. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
