Isabel Newcomb

Isabel Mary Simmons Newcomb, 102, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away October 20, 2016, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas. She was born April 18, 1914, in Asheville, North Carolina. Mrs. Newcomb was a member of Spring River Presbyterian Church in Hardy, Arkansas. She loved photography and flower arranging. She had worked as an office manager of a portrait studio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Florence Westall Simmons; her husband, Harley M. Newcomb; four brothers and four sisters. Survivors include her son, Raymond (Jessica) Newcomb of Cherokee Village; brothers, James Simmons of Chandler, North Carolina, and Grady Simmons of Erwin, Tennessee; four grandchildren: Jodi, Melody, Lynette, and Mark; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
