Linda Benson

Linda Dianne Benson, 52, of Williford, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born January 12, 1964, in Walnut Ridge. Linda was a homemaker and "Maw-Maw" to her beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley and Rosie Lee Surface Reese; a son, Robert Webster Johnston; and four sisters: Mary Wilkerson, Wilma Bayles, Evelyn Blansett, and Edith Swartzlander. Survivors include her husband, Mark Edward Benson of the home; daughters: Edith (Jesse) Elliott of Hardy, Diane Johnston of Ozark Acres, and Cindy (Zach) MacGrath of Springfield, Illinois; sons: Howard (Amber) Johnston of Ash Flat, Jesse Couch of Cherokee Village, and Dereck Couch (Nicole Smith) of Cherokee Village; stepchildren, Kendall Haines and Misty Benson; several adopted children as well as adopted grandchildren; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Johnny Reese; and a sister, Mable Newman; and many other relatives and good friends. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 20, at the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel in Highland with John Thomas Stahl officiating.
