Phillip Tippy

Phillip Wayne Tippy, 66, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016. He was born October 16, 1950, in Dyess, Arkansas. Phillip was a member of Ward Street Church of Christ in Hardy and the Elks Lodge in Cherokee Village. He had worked as a journeyman lineman for Arkansas Power & Light. More recently he worked for Sharp County on the road department crew. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Mae Evelyn Ward Tippy and a brother, Charles Dean Tippy. Survivors include his son Shawn Tippy of Imboden, Arkansas; a brother, Paul Ray Tippy of Sherwood, Arkansas; two sisters, Karen (Mike) Parrish of Blytheville, Arkansas, and Darlene (Harry) Edwards of Virginia; many other relatives and good friends. Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Monday, December 19, in the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel at Highland.
