Audrey Boyd, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, at the age of 62. Born in Fort Pierce, Florida, on July 6, 1963, Audrey lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. She grew up in Georgia and graduated from Henry W. Grady High School in June 1981. In 1994, she earned her secretarial degree from Phillips Junior College. As a teenager, she worked in the orange groves and participated in ROTC, showing her strong work ethic and spirited nature from a young age.
Audrey met the love of her life, Marc Boyd, during a paranormal investigation — a fitting beginning for someone passionate about ghost hunting. They were married on December 11, 2021 and shared a deep and joyful bond. Marc fondly remembers her saying, “You’re so cute” and he would respond with “I feel so cute,” a phrase that perfectly captured her playful spirit.
Audrey’s greatest accomplishment was her family. As she would often say, “I wish I had grand-angels first.” She was a devoted mother to Christine Young (spouse: Dustin Young), Erica Price (spouse: Adam Price), Collin Boyd (spouse: Kaala Boyd), and Taylor King. She was a proud grandmother to Alexys, Annabelle, Abigayl, Aspyn, Jasmine, Ian, Owen, Jacob, Sammy, Lincoln, Adilynn, Liam, and Jasper. Her daughter Erica lovingly said, “My mom’s my best friend cuz she’s my same age.”
She is survived by her husband, Marc; her mother, Dorothy Jean Blessett; her sisters: LeAnn Skinner, Holly Cripps (and husband Jason), and Mary Green “Bunny”; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Troy Green and her brother David Troy Green.
Audrey was involved in numerous organizations that reflected her generous heart and commitment to helping others, including the Cajun Navy, MADD, Crowdsource Rescue, Safe Night Ministries, Abundant Life, and Light in the Wilderness.
She enjoyed crafting — or at least trying to — and had a passion for ghost hunting that brought her joy and connection. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the family she cherished above all. “Love you to the moon and back!”
Celebration of Life service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 at Light in the Wilderness church west of Ash Flat, Arkansas with Bro. Stan Jones officiating.
