Barbara Ellen Harrison was born at her parents' home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and passed away at White River Health ER in Cherokee Village, Arkansas.
She worked at Ellison's Cafe and then the Gooseneck Restaurant for many years. She washed dishes, helped cook, and made pies. She enjoyed scratch-off tickets, crossword puzzles, games on her tablet, and eating out. She also enjoyed her time with her special friend, Dorothy Huckabee, playing Bingo.
Barbara loved family gatherings and attending church. She was a member of Hardy First Baptist Church. She never married but had two special great-grand nephews, Everett and Larry Hayward. She loved watching them play. They called her Bar-boo.
She is survived by her sister, Shirley Wilson of Hardy, Arkansas and Tony Harrison of West Plains, Missouri, along with two special great-nieces who were her caregivers, Amanda Price and Cassie Hayward. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Barnhart Harrison; a brother, William Harrison; and a sister, Sarah Coker.
A public memorial service will be Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home, 1540 Hwy. 62/412, Highland, AR 72542.
