Billy Bob Billingsley, 47, of Evening Shade, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020, at his farm. He was born September 10, 1973, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Glen Edward and Pamela (Sharp) Billingsley, both of whom survive him. Billy Bob was a farmer, actively involved in the family business of the Ash Flat Livestock Auction, and a boilermaker. He was a member of the Mtn. View Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, telling good stories, making memories, and cooking. He loved his family – kids and grandkids, nieces and nephews – and thoroughly enjoyed pestering all of them. His sense of humor was unmatched. Billy Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents: John W. & Lorah Sharp and Ewell & Mildred Billingsley. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Melanie Nix Billingsley; their children: Dakota Ray and Hayley Billingsley, Becky Beth and Briar King, Billy John “BJ” Nix Billingsley; grandchildren: Graelynn J and Haylynn Rae Billingsley, Blakely Elizabeth King, and Baby Billingsley; his parents; his brother, Curtis Glen Billingsley (Leah); his family in love: Kathy Nix, Mike and Sheila Nix, and special sisters, Mary Ellen Henley and Melinda Nix-Langston; six nieces and nephews; many other relatives; and a multitude of good friends. Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2020, in the Violet Hill Cemetery with Doyne Robertson officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 at the cemetery prior to the service.
