Bobby E. Harriss, 92, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas passed away November 15, 2025 at his home. He was born October 27, 1933 in Memphis, Tennessee to Bellamy and Bertha Hamilton Harriss. His career work included 37 years with the United States Department of Defense.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Donna Harriss; his son, Craig Alan "Harry" Harriss; his second wife, Carolyn Harriss; and two sisters.
Bobby was an active member of First Baptist Church of Cherokee Village where he taught Sunday School class for more than 35 years and started a pilot ministry, the North Arkansas chapter of Pilots for Christ. He was also involved with distribution of Bibles through Gideons International.
Survivors include his son, Bobby G. Harriss (Sherrye) of Cordova, Tennessee; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Susan Harriss of Southaven, Mississippi; other relatives and many great friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be at the church Saturday, December 6, from noon to 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service and luncheon to follow.
Burial will be private in Oaklawn Cemetery at Highland with Tri-County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
