Brenda Kay DuPree, 71, of Williford, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026 in Batesville, Arkansas. She was born November 7. 1954 in Flint, Michigan to Charlie and Juanita (Mullins) Welch. Brenda's move to Arkansas included attending Highland High School with the Class of 1972 and owning her own flea market in Hardy, Arkansas, most recently The Frugal Fox, a thrift and consignment store for local vendors with everything from toys, tools, antiques, clothing, decor, oddities, and vintage items. She had a caring heart for children; her passion was hunting for treasures with meaning. Her strong work ethic, compassionate spirit, and wonderful sense of humor will be missed in the family and community she loved.
Her legacy will continue through surviving family members: her husband, Dan DuPree of their home; son, Eric Counts and his wife Stephanie of Paragould, Arkansas; daughter, Aimee Blansett of Paragould; grandsons, Jesse DuPree and his daughter, Emelia, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Dylan DuPree and his wife, Rosetta, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; two sisters and a brother, all of Hardy; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and a host of great friends.
A celebration of Brenda's life will be April 11 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ozark Acres Clubhouse. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
