Buddy E. Smith

Buddy Estal Smith, 80, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas passed away March 4, 2024 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born May 12, 1943 in Caraway, Arkansas to James Edward and Geneva Ferguson Smith. 

Buddy was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had worked as a police officer. He loved his family and thoroughly enjoyed bowling and playing golf. His passions included watching his St. Louis Cardinals play baseball and all things Arkansas Razorbacks. 

Survivors include his wife, Judy Walker-Smith; children: Maria, Lidia, Buddy (Sonja), Geneva, James (Abigail), Dan (Michelle), and Sherri (Craig); numerous grandkids and great-grandkids; siblings, Larry Smith and Ruby Hallmark; many nieces and nephews; and a host of good friends.

The family and friends will have a visitation Friday, March 8 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland, Arkansas. 

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 9 with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and Mass at 11:00 in St. Michael's Catholic Church.  A reception will follow downstairs.
