Cecil Margaret Steed, 66, of Ash Flat, Arkansas passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Baxter Regional Hospital in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born December 2, 1954, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Gordon Ray and Evelyn Lois (Adams) Martin. Margaret graduated from Highland High School in 1972 and worked as a computer programmer in banking. She loved to read and crochet, attended Highland Assembly of God, and was a board member of the Ash Flat Planning & Zoning Commission. Her favorite "title" was Nana; she was known as the Pied Piper to many children. Survivors include her children: Rebecca "Becky" Hallmark (Rodney) of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and T. J. Steed of Ash Flat; grandchildren: Vivian, Kailey, Cheyenne, Tyler, Brody, and Rafe; her mother, Evelyn of Ash Flat; brothers, Stephen Ray Martin of Ash Flat and Danny Guy Martin (Jackie) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; many other relatives, the HHS Class of '72, and a host of good friends, all who loved her smiles and positive attitude. Margaret was preceded in death by her dad, Ray and her sister, Rhonda. Visitation of family and friends will be Thursday, February 11, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland. A memorial service will immediately follow with Pastor Chris Clem and Johnny Carter officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Old Baptist Cemetery at Ash Flat.
