Charles Johnson

Charles Dale Johnson, 88, of Ash Flat, Arkansas passed away July 1, 2022. He was born March 24, 1934 in Calamine, Arkansas and later graduated from Cave City High School. Charlie attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro on a basketball scholarship and proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War. He became a real estate developer who loved his family and friends. Charlie was a member of the Elks Lodge and American Kennel Club; he enjoyed bird hunting, riding horses, cattle farming, and traveling across the U.S.A. and beyond. Charlie accepted Christ as his Savior on August 4, 2021. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, William Floyd and Clara D. Mobley Johnson; four brothers: W.D., Jack H., Billy Dean, and Malcolm Johnson; and a sister, Aria Maurian Krisell. Left to mourn him are his loving wife, Doris Honeycutt Johnson of the home; children: Dr. Anthony D. Johnson and his wife Denise of Little Rock, Judge Mark R. Johnson and his wife Margretta of Hardy, Lisa Johnson Fisher and her husband Jason of Ash Flat; eight grandchildren: Sasha Johnson, Skylar Johnson, Piper Johnson, A J Schales, Parker Johnson, Chase Fisher, Phoebe Johnson, and Grace Fisher; two great-grandchildren: Harper and Bridger; a brother, Dalton Johnson of Wellington, Kansas; a sister, Anna Grace Lindberg (Gary) of St. George, Utah; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and good friends. Visitation of family and friends will be in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 3, until service time which will be at 2 p.m. with Pastor Don Robbins officiating and military honors. Interment will follow in Flint Cemetery near Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. Pallbearers: A J Schales, Chase Fisher, Skylar Johnson, Ted Honeycutt, Robert Honeycutt, Brian Honeycutt Honorary Pallbearers: Dennis Jernigan, Danny Honeycutt, Terry Honeycutt, Jason Fisher Arrangements are entrusted to Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
