Charles Roe

Charles Franklin Roe, 81, passed from this earth in his home at Ash Flat, Arkansas.  He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas.   Charles was preceded in death by his parents, James A. Roe and Nettie (Jones) Roe; his first wife, Priscilla Ann (Andrews) Roe, and two brothers, James W. (Jean) Roe and Bill E. Roe.Survivors include his wife of the home, Jerry Lynn Roe; four sons: Gary Roe of Tyler, Texas; Lynn (Michelle) Roe of Issaquah, Washington; Nick (Michelle) Coyle of Cabot, Arkansas; Toby (Jessica) Coyle of Bentonville, Arkansas; eight grandchildren: Andrew Roe, Rebecca Roe-Jones (John Jones Jr.), Madison Roe, Skylar Roe, Destiny Coyle, Nicholas Coyle, Vincent Minervine, and Noah Coyle; one brother, Wayne (Leda) Roe; one sister-in-law, Nina Roe; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends, too many to name here.Charles retired from the Air Force as a Sr. MSgt. with a combined U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force service time of more than 24 years.  He served in Italy, Germany, Japan, and the USA.Following his retirement Charles owned a hobby farm, worked in home construction, and he worked as a Water Works Operator, Secretary/Treasurer/Volunteer Firefighter, and for the U.S. Postal Service - all in Ravenden Springs, Arkansas.After moving to Ash Flat, Charles worked tirelessly to keep his home surroundings as pristine as possible.  He will be greatly missed, but we know that as long as there is grass to cut in the Great Beyond, he will find a Chariot (mower) to ride.Per Charles's request there will not be a memorial service or funeral service of any kind.  Family and friends are welcome to come by the home in Ash Flat.In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital or to the Wounded Warriors Project.
