Charlotte Jean VanHorn, 79, of rural Ash Flat, Arkansas passed away January 29, 2026 at her home. She was born November 16, 1946 in Jerome, Arizona to Carl and Margaret Davis Winter, both who preceded her in death as did a brother, Raymond Winter, and a son, Michael Klosowski. Charlotte earned an Associate degree and was an administrative assistant in public works. She loved to play bridge with friends and was always ready to travel anywhere. She was an avid reader and enjoyed taking care of animals, especially cats. Her favorite music was any song sung by John Denver.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry VanHorn; a daughter, Sarah Abercrombie; a son, Chris (Tanya) Klosowski; two granddaughters, Caitlin and Leina; a sister-in-law, Linda Winter; many other relatives and friends.
No services are planned. The family has respectfully requested memorial donations be made to Cherokee Village Animal Humane Society (Paw Control) at 1531 Hwy. 289 N or 870-994-4445.
