Cheryl Ann "Sunni Stevens" Cooper, 67, of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas passed away May 9, 2023 at her home. She was born November 5, 1955 in Southwest City, Missouri to Charles and Shirley June (Rakes) Boyd. Cheryl was baptized in the name of Jesus on July 31, 2019 and attended Refuge Apostolic Church in Thayer, Missouri. Cheryl loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with kids and grandkids. She enjoyed crafting with her Cricut, traveling (even making a brief visit to Canada), and baking; one Christmas she made recipe books for the family. Her radio personality of Sunni Stevens spanned more than 25 years on KKountry 95 from Thayer as she sincerely believed in positive communication. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Travis Cooper. Survivors include her daughters, Mandy Elliott (Joey) of Glencoe, Arkansas and Charlea Kious (Aaron) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; her sons, Adam Mason (Susan) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Marshall Milton (Barbara) of Ash Flat, Arkansas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pam Hasty (Ricky) and Patsy Pritchard (Ricky); many other relatives and good friends. Memorial services will be Monday, July 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Refuge Apostolic Church, 300 N. Third St., Thayer, MO. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
