Dale McCord

Dale McCord was born in Pleasant Ridge Township in Fulton County, Arkansas to John Roland and Martha (Day) McCord. He passed away at the age of 95 in Ash Flat, Arkansas. Dale loved his FAMILY and provided for them by working and teaching the true value of a sincere work ethic. He was involved in road construction and also served the public as a golf course groundskeeper. Dale was the ultimate horse trainer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive Levda (Mills) McCord; a son, Neal; a sister, Ruby; five brothers: Robert, Carroll, Vernon, Chester, and Melvin; grandsons, Cody Ty and Dylan; and daughter-in-law, Terri Lynn.

Survivors include his children: daughter, Janet (Kenneth) Gates; sons, Larry (Eva), Eugene, Kelvin (Jayne), Kalen (Michelle), and Noble (Tiffany) McCord; grandchildren: Stacy (Brian), Daniel (Angela), Sandra (Wade), Canea (John), Jennifer, Austin (Aspen), Caitlin (Kody), Kenny, Michael, Betsy (Tom), Curtis, Jacki (Barry), Preston (Ashley), Seth (Katie), Erin (Amos), Matt (Suzy), Nicole (Scott), Kailey (Tyler), Jamie (Ty), Mackenzie, Madison (Tate), Amy (Rob), Gretta, Halie, and Robyn; great-grandchildren: Natalia, Emma, Mia, Kacee, Bryce, Alexis, Gavin, Chloe, Aracely, Karissa, Aliyah, Stetson, Mila, Ila, Cody (Evy), Lani, Kayden, Tommy, Cole, Gage, Finley, Conner, Kinsley, Payton, Collins, Sunny Jo, Kohan, Camden, Kasey, Kylie, Guy, Hayden, Clara, Caelynn, Carter, Carson, Bristol, Ellie, Haygen, Kashtyn, Dylan, R.J., and Rowan; great-great-grandchild, Avery, and one on the way; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation of family and friends will begin at noon Wednesday, April 1, 2026 in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home, 1540 Hwy. 62/412, Highland, AR 72542. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Farrell Nicholson officiating. Burial will be in Burks Chapel Cemetery near Heart in Fulton County. Pallbearers will be Daniel, Austin, Seth, and Preston McCord with Kenny and Michael Gates. Honorary Pallbearers are Dale's granddaughters.
