David Fisher

August 2, 1952 — June 21, 2025

David Warren Fisher, 72, of Lynn, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly at his home June 21, 2025. He was born August 2, 1952 in Searcy, Arkansas to Elton Fisher and Mary Shewmake Fisher. He retired in 2015 from the Arkansas Department of Career Education. Dave continued to be active in Skills USA after his retirement and was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award from Skills USA. Dave previously worked in the field of radio broadcasting and television before becoming a radio/television instructor and East Facilitator at the Cave City School District, which each year presents a senior with the Dave Fisher Legacy Award. The recipient must have displayed “Dave-like Qualities” which include good ethics, being a hard worker and a help to fellow students, and one who has left a lasting impression on the program.

David was a member of Bold Spring Missionary Baptist Church where he was actively serving the church in many different roles. David was loved by family and friends alike for his kind heart and gentle soul. He returned that same love to all that he knew whether they were family or friend. David’s greatest quality though was his love for God. He displayed that faith in Jesus by the way he lived his life each and every day. His faith was a quiet faith but a strong faith. Anyone who knew David knew he loved Jesus.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Tom Kendrick; daughter, Anna Bryant-Brink; and grandson, Blake Fisher.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Beverly Fisher; his daughter, Tammy Hendrickson (Robert); his sons: Stephen Fisher (Alyssia), Jason Stewart (Charla), Jeremy Cooney, and Jeff Fisher; 15 grandchildren: Lauren, Logan P, Brett, Savannah, Logan C, Mariah, Alyssa, Michael, Justin, Jaxon, Leah, Lane, Cody, Austin, and Garrett; 11 great-grandchildren: Emma, Kaylynn, Foster, Sullivan, Paxton, Fisher, Scotland, Hopelynn, Leonore, Briley, and Niklaus.

Visitation of family and friends will be at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church near Lynn from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with interment immediately following in Dry Creek Cemetery on June 25, 2025. The arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home.

Honorary Pallbearers are Stephen Fisher, Robert Hendrickson, Jason Stewart, Jeremy Cooney, Leroy Holm, and Lawrence Holm.

The family humbly requests that donations in David's honor be sent to Arkansas Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, AR 72201.
