Debra Marlow

Debra Lynn Marlow of Mountain View, Missouri was born in Effingham, Illinois on April 26, 1960 to Robert Cecil Marlow and Lillian Juanita Marlow (Bynum). She passed away in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas surrounded by the love of family on May 26, 2026 at the age of 66.

Lovingly known to others as Debby, Deb, Kixs, and Dooby, she lived her life to the fullest from an early age, going on many adventures. She explored many areas receiving degrees in several subjects and trying on many things. Ultimately, she received a Bachelors degree in Equine Sciences. Debby’s passion was horses, and she spent the majority of her life training horses.

Debby enjoyed many things including crocheting, gardening, writing, reading, trying to make the world a better place, and she was a wonderful story teller. She never met a stranger and brought joy to everyone she met. She had a kind heart and a beautiful soul.

Debby also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She really loved the babies. She met her wife, Shannon Powers, in 2004, and they spent 22 wonderful years together. Debby loved Missouri, and they lived the majority of their lives together there. 

Debby was preceded in death by her father, Robert Cecil Marlow, and her mother, Lillian Juanita Marlow; her brother, Robert Cecil Marlow; her brother, Harold Randall Marlow; her brother, Ronald Wayne Marlow; her brother, Garland Dale Marlow; her sister, Sandra Kay Powell; her brother, Lonnie Dean Marlow; her brother, Michael Marlow; and her sister, Brenda Smith. 

She is survived by her wife, Shannon Powers; her siblings: C. Diane Wallace, Jackie Sue Marlow, and Carol Drowan; five children: April Lau, Amanda Wallace, Adam Kirkendoll, Chasity Schoenhofen, Jessica Kakik and her husband Kenneth; fourteen grandchildren: Ashley, Gabriel Quinn, Patience, Trustin, Chance, Joseph, Emily, Aiden, Tyler, Michael, Olivia, Daedric, Violet, and Serenity. 

Honoring her wishes, Debby was cremated with a celebration of life party to be at a later date.
