Dennis Arthur Welte, 67, of Highland, Arkansas passed away June 24, 2025 at White River Health in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born March 10, 1958 in Kokomo, Indiana to Robert Corvin Welte and Dorothy Marie (Budreau) Welte. Dennis was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force serving as a Staff Sergeant and B52 Crew Chief, acquiring numerous medals, awards, and ribbons for outstanding achievement. He was especially active in the Desert Storm conflict.
His strong respectful and respectable work ethic led him to various types of construction and woodworking, and he became owner/operator of Welte's Home Improvements.
Hobbies he enjoyed were boating, waterskiing, camping, card games, rock & roll concerts, and golf. He particularly loved being with family and friends.
Dennis was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. He was also active in the Highland Elks Lodge #2539, serving as president from 2015 to 2017. He was named State Elk of the Year in 2008-2009.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law, Cathy Welte; and a son-in-law, Charlie Hall.
Survivors include his wife, Dianna (Carlson) Welte; two sons, Dennis Welte Jr. "DJ" (Elaine) of Pflugerville, Texas and Dan Welte (Amanda) of Bradenton, Florida; a daughter, Vanessa Hall of Brookland, Arkansas; eight grandchildren: Tommy, Gracie, Katie, Gretchen, Megan, Adalyn, Zander, and Emmalie; one brother, Ron Welte and one sister, Gina Yannone; many other relatives and great friends.
Church services for Dennis Welte will be Thursday, July 3, 2025 in St. Michael's Catholic Church. The Rosary will start at 10:30 a.m. with the Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Father Amal will officiate.
Visitation of family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on July 3 in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home. A special Memorial Remembrance including full military honors will be at 4:00 p.m.
A Celebration of Life at the Highland Elks Lodge #2539 will be announced at a later date.
