Elaine Moody

Evelyn Elaine Moody, 79, of rural Evening Shade, Arkansas passed away August 3, 2026 at the White River Health Medical Complex Emergency Department in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. She was born July 27, 1947 in Oak Creek, Colorado to David Arthur and Lucille Irene Walker Nelson. Her parents and several siblings preceded her in death.

Elaine was of the Christian faith and worked a variety of jobs in the Sharp County Sheriff's office for thirty-three years. She was recognized with a special "Lifesaver Award" by the Arkansas Sheriff's Association. 

She loved having family together and thoroughly enjoyed farm life, especially driving tractors and other vehicles. The hayfield was "home" to her. Elaine's passion was going out to eat. 

Survivors include her husband, Albert Mason Moody; her son, Eric; her grandson, Hunter; many other relatives and good friends.

Services for Elaine Moody will be Friday, August 7, 2026 in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home, 1540 Hwy. 62/412, Highland, AR 72542: visitation of family and friends from 11:00 a.m. until noon at which time the funeral will begin with Johnny Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Spotts Cemetery near Poughkeepsie, Arkansas.
