Dorothy Irene Miller, 94, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. She was born in Peoria, Illinois on August 14, 1931.
On June 7, 1948, she married Herman "Hank" Miller, who preceded her in death. Irene was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Dixie; her daughters, Sue Seal and Sandy McMahon; her son, Terry Miller; and several grandchildren.
She is lovingly survived by her children: David (Sue) Miller of Conway, Arkansas; Diane (Steve) Passmore of Farmington, Illinois; Dennis (Sue) Miller of Chillicothe, Illinois; Deb Blair of Illinois; Denise (John) Poulsen of Hardy, Arkansas; Tom Miller of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, and Kathy Daniels of Hardy, Arkansas. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren who will cherish her memory.
Irene and Hank moved from Peoria, Illinois to Cherokee Village in the mid-1970s, where they proudly owned and operated Miller's BBQ for many years. After selling the business and retiring, Irene, deciding she needed something to do, went to work at Walmart, where she enjoyed visiting with friends and customers alike. She retired at age 89 after working twenty-five years for Walmart and then enjoyed watching game shows as she relaxed in the comfort of her home.
