Jack Still

July 23, 1938 — January 1, 2020

John "Jack" M. Still, 81, passed away at his home near Hardy, Arkansas.  He was born in Ventura, California. Jack was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the Spring River Car Club.  He served in the United States Air Force.  He worked for King Plumbing in Ojai, California. He was a heavy equipment operator for Stanton & Sons in Santa Barbara, California, and also was vice-president of Griffen Rental Company in Goleta, California.  Jack moved to Hardy in 1978 where he was a master mechanic, owning J & J Welding for forty years. He truly enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He loved animals (especially his dogs) and his iPad, enjoyed tinkering in his garage and going fishing, and was passionate about putting up Christmas lights.  Jack was always ready to help anyone in need.  He truly appreciated his neighbors and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Gladys (White) Still, and a twin brother, Jerry Still. Survivors include his wife, Jeanie; sons: Gregory (Rita) Craiglow of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Kirk (Elder) Craiglow of Hardy, Michael (Paulette) Still of Republic, Missouri, Randy (Candi) Still of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and Keith (Allison) Still of Grand Rapids; daughters: Shelley (Robert) Stumbo of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Lisa Craiglow (fiancé Colby Ohlson) of Newark, Arkansas; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Clara) Still of Corvallis, Oregon; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and good friends. Memorial services will be Thursday, January 9, at New Hope Baptist Church on Hwy. 175 North.  Visitation of family and friends will begin at 10 a.m.  The memorial will begin at 11.
