James Murphy

James Archie Murphy was born the son of James Archie and Hazel Belle Powel Murphy in Hilltop, Arkansas. He departed this life at the age of 80 years at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He enjoyed building dragsters, working on cars, and hot rodding. James worked in construction as a pipeliner in Iraq. He loved time spent with his family, especially the grandkids. James is survived by the love of his life and wife, Jean Ann; four children: Jesse, Greg, Cindi, and Jason; several grandchildren; three sisters: "Cookie", Janelle, and Patsy; two brothers, Nelson and Bob; many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Kathryn and Betty Sue. Private family services were held in Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel at Highland, Arkansas, on Monday, October 26, 2020.
