Jean Harris

Ella Jean Gertrude Harris (nee Michels), 79, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away December 19, 2019, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  She was born July 4, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois. Ella Jean loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was passionate about bingo and cooking.  She worked for the United States Postal Service in Maywood, Illinois, and for Northrup Grumman in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, before retiring to Cherokee Village. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Paul; her parents, Harold and Evelyn (nee Schultz) Michels; her sister, April Michels; and her son, David. Survivors include daughter, Robyn (Thomas) Pawelko of Lemont, Illinois; son, Richard (Rebecca) of Addison, Illinois; grandchildren: Kelli (James) Clancy, Alexander Harris, Sarah Pawelko, Aimee Harris, and Matthew Harris; great-grandchildren: Ella, Thomas, and Olivia Clancy; many other relatives and good friends. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2020, in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland.
