Jerry Keith McElhaney, 72, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas quietly passed away at his home on November 13, 2025, where he had lived since 1997. Jerry was born May 20, 1953 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Rupert and Nova Pauline Gibson McElhaney. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene of the home; three sons: Karl Wesley Souders (Aundy) of Dyess, Arkansas, David Bryan Carlson of Ash Flat, Arkansas, and Noah Glenn Carlson of Cherokee Village; six grandchildren: Max Souders of Englewood, Colorado, Blade Souders (Micah) of Manila, Arkansas, Jagger Souders and Talyn Souders of Dyess, Tyanna Carlson of Oxford, Arkansas, and Alec Carlson of Cherokee Village; four great-grandchildren: Lillian, Emberlee, Dustin, and Slader; a brother, Michael Smith (Laurie); a host of nieces and nephews.
Jerry was a retired CNA as well as a van driver transporting children to local daycares.
Memorial services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in Crossroads Baptist Church at Ash Flat on Saturday, December 6, 2025 with Charlie Yates officiating Jerry's celebration of life.
