Joan Lillian Furnari was born July 7, 1932 to Edward Oscar and Eleanore (Vannysacker) Courtmanche in Mount Clemens, Michigan. Surrounded by her loving family, she departed this life May 4, 2026 at her home in Cherokee Village, Arkansas at the age of 93 years.
As owner/operator of National Tailor, she created many beautiful projects. Joan enjoyed gardening and landscaping, and spent part of her career as a bus driver. She loved learning about history, whether it was while reading books or by watching television.
Joan is survived by four daughters, Joan McPherson II, Theresa Dickerson (Tim), Frances Furnari, and Toni Welicki (Tom); one son, Vincent Furnarni (Cindy); eight grandchildren, Sonya, Nicholas, Joan III, April, Jeff, Ben, Alec, and Christian; many great and great-great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vincent P. Furnari; a daughter. Loretta Tyler; and several brothers and sisters.
Per her wishes, family will hold private services.
Arrangements entrusted to Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
