Joanne Morgan

Joanne Morgan, 85, of Hardy, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert; her mother, Julia; and her beloved grandson, DJ.

Joanne is survived by her devoted husband, Gordon Morgan; her children: Gordon Morgan Jr. and wife Debbie, Bonnie Pendarvis and husband Johnny, and Sherry McEntire and husband Danny. 

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Sabrina Morgan, Jessica Morgan, Justin McEntire (Tia), Crystal Justice (Nathan), and Tyler Pendarvis (Tisha) as well as her treasured great-grandchildren: Akaya, Kayleigh, Breeana, Cason, Braxton, McEnzie, Grace, Camille, Mason, Allison, Luke, Collin, Henry, and Charlie.

Joanne dedicated thirty years of her life to cooking for the Hardy and Highland School Districts, where she lovingly served generations of students and staff. Her family was everything to her, and her greatest joy was seeing them together and happy. Christmas and the holidays were dear to her heart. 

She loved being outdoors—listening to the birds sing, enjoying the sunshine, and tending to her beautiful flower gardens and large vegetable spreads. Joanne welcomed everyone with a warm hug and often a homemade apple pie or sweet treat. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren, particularly watching them play in the backyard, sharing stories of the past, and laughing about the many animals they had over the years and the funny memories that came with them. 

Joanne was the light and steady presence for her children and family. She would do anything for those she loved and was always there to lend a listening ear or a helping hand when needed. She will be deeply missed by many but especially by her loved ones until the day they are reunited. We love you!

Visitation of family and friends will be Sunday, December 28, 2025 in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home in Highland, Arkansas beginning at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service to start at 2:00 p.m. Charlie Yates will officiate. Burial will be in Turkey Pen Cemetery.
