Johnny Ivey

September 28, 1974 — November 18, 2023

Johnny Dale Ivey, 49, of north Sharp County, Arkansas passed away at his home Saturday, November 18, 2023. He was born September 28, 1974 in Pocahontas. Johnny was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill & Laverne Davenport and Walter Ivey Jr.

Although he worked at many jobs including being a licensed auctioneer, he was currently general manager of Ivey's Automotive in Highland, Arkansas. His passion, however, was coaching in the Highland Rebel Mighty Mite football program. His connection with those players was without measure. He loved them and avidly followed their progress from third grade through high school.

Johnny is survived by his parents, Denise Hilton (Dan) and Charles Ivey (Sarah Schlesinger); his grandmother, Bernice Ivey; a brother, Nicholas Ivey; two sisters, Natasha Sharp and Charity Hilton; two nephews, Liam and Max Sharp; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; his companion, Mandy Nicole; a "lifelong brother" Brian Statler as well as many other special friends across the USA. He was "a loving dad" to Kole, D'anna, Maddie, Cameron, and Jimmy, and he was "Pop Pop" to Paisley, Ryleigh, Waylon, and Luka.

Celebrating Johnny's life, a visitation of family and friends will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 25 in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home, 1540 Hwy. 62/412, Highland, AR 72542. A brief service will follow at 2:30 p.m.
