Kathryn Diane Cooper passed away peacefully in her home with family there in Cherokee Village, Arkansas on May 28, 2021. She was born January 28, 1958 in Thayer, Missouri to Allen and Freda Dills. She married Bob Cooper on December 30, 1978. Kathy was raised on a farm in Alton along with her five siblings. She graduated from UMKC pharmacy school in 1980 and founded Cooper Drug in Thayer, Missouri, where she dedicated herself to the service of her customers and the community. Her passion for her work could easily be seen in the loyalty and trust of her customers. She was a member of Hardy United Methodist Church, Rotary Club, and Missouri Pharmacy Association. Despite the love for her career, she managed to prioritize her family. She attended and was proud of every activity where any of her three kids might be involved. Kathy was known for her kind, warm, energetic, and loving spirit. Everyone was welcome in her home as she was truly a mother-figure to so many beyond her own children. Survivors include her husband, Bob Cooper; two daughters, Shana Schay and husband John and Bobie Jo Widders and husband Brock; one son, Jordan Cooper; two sisters, Carmen Yarber and Linda Hash; one brother, Tommy Dills; many other relatives and good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donald and John Ben Dills. Family and friends will have visitation in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland, Arkansas on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m., Kay Brogdon officiating. Burial will be in Dills Family Cemetery at Alton. Pallbearers include Marvin Simpson, Zane Hatten, Jacob Steed, Houston Cooper, Landon Strobbe, and Garrett Widders.
