Kathy Strope

Kathy Ann Strope, 82, of rural Mammoth Spring, Arkansas passed away at EagleCrest Nursing and Rehab in Ash Flat, Arkansas. She was born in Paragould, Arkansas and was a member of Spring River Baptist Church. She particularly enjoyed fishing and going to yard sales. In addition to raising a family, Kathy had worked as an assembler in a factory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Helen Morton; a brother, Jimmy; and a granddaughter, Misty Rushing.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Donald; a daughter, Helen Williams (Jeff) of Evening Shade, Arkansas; two sons, Donnie (Dennie) of Mammoth Spring and John of Paragould; three grandchildren: Christopher (Jenna), Cierra (Olivia), and Lauren; three great-grandchildren: Adrian, Sammy, and Meadow; a brother, Otto; many other relatives and good friends.

Services will be Monday, June 22, 2026 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. in Spring River Baptist Church north of Hardy, Arkansas; the funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with Dennis Strope officiating. Burial will follow in Bronaugh Cemetery next to the church.

Pallbearers will be John McClure, Christopher Strope, Mike Easley, Jimmy Russell, Jimmy Hicks, and Chuck Kirby.

Arrangements are entrusted to Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
