Kennard Gene Fowler, 86, of Ash Flat, Arkansas passed away on April 24, 2025. He was born October 3, 1938 in Ash Flat, the son of Kenneth and Imogene Fowler. Kennard graduated from Ash Flat High School in 1956 and attended college for a short time at Arkansas State University.
Kennard married Patricia Bramlette on June 11, 1960 in Taft, California, and they were married 42 years before Patricia preceded Kennard in death in 2002.
Kennard worked as a farmer for the length of his career, and his grandchildren loved to hear stories of his life including stealing Cave City watermelons from a farm truck when he was a teenager and getting caught. One story was of the time he worked a cotton gin for over 24 hours straight. Kennard was known among his family for his gentle nature and immense sweet tooth.
Kennard was a Christian and was baptized as Seventh Day Adventist.
Remaining to cherish Kennard's memory are siblings, Phyllis Pendelton and William Harold Fowler; three children: Rebecca "Becky" and husband Gary Mow, Deborah "Debbie" and husband Chris Wright, Sarah and husband Britt Acred; grandchildren: Adam, AJ, Brentley, Maegan, Sarah, Kenneth, Kendra, Paige, Nathan, Noah, Hannah, and Grace as well as 14 great-grandchildren.
Kennard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his son, Paul.
Visitation of family and friends will be Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Tri-County Funeral Home in Highland, Arkansas from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at 4:30 p.m. in Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat with Pastor Mike Stanley officiating.
