Lena Hamilton

Lena Mae Goings Hamilton, 87, of Hardy, Arkansas, was born March 26, 1931, in Haynes, Arkansas, and peacefully entered into death February 23, 2019, at her home in Hardy. She was of the Church of Christ faith and a homemaker. Her hobbies included gardening, fishing, and loving her family and friends. Lena was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Carl P. Hamilton; her parents, Leaton and Maranda (Goff) Goings; son, Kenneth Hamilton; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one great-great-grandchild; four brothers and six sisters; many other relatives and good friends. Survivors include her sister, Wilma Warren of Paris, Illinois; her children: Carl Dennis (Debbie) Hamilton of Nixa, Missouri, Janet Trivitt of Highland, Arkansas, Gaylon (Cindy) Hamilton of Hardy, Timmy Hamilton of Hardy, Teresa Tapp of Sitka, Arkansas; 16 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews she loved dearly and many valued family and friends she cherished. Visitation of family and friends will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland. Funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, in the Tri-County Chapel. Burial will follow in Turkey Pen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dennis Hamilton, Janet Trivitt, Matt Hamilton (for Kenneth Hamilton), Gaylon Hamilton, Timmy Hamilton, and Teresa Tapp. Honorary pallbearers include Tim Giles and Kevin Thompson. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
