January 7, 1931 — November 18, 2018

LeRoy “Tuck” Tucker, 87, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, formerly of Highland, Arkansas, passed away at his home November 18, 2018. A writer, humorist, and self-described curmudgeon, LeRoy was a man of words and ideas, a savvy businessman, and a witty storyteller. A graduate of Ash Flat High School, he wrote countless stories throughout his life and at 80 years old published a novel, Cotton on the Rocks. He was a self-taught guitarist and a reader of history, philosophy, and poetry. LeRoy served his country as a proud Marine, and he worked his way through the ranks of General Motors from the assembly line to upper management. Survivors include the love of his life to whom he was married for 69 years, Patsy Nadine (Sutherland) Tucker; three daughters they raised together: Patti Lee (Mark) Fleischner of Hot Springs, Susan Diana Tucker of Rochester, Michigan, and Rebecca Ann (Jerod) Denton of Nashville, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; his sister, DeLoris Lawrence; and countless friends. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Alfred and Tressie DeLoris (Martin) Tucker and his brother, Weston Tucker. A memorial service will be Saturday, November 24, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland.  Condolences may be written here as Guest Book entries. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Arkansas Children’s Hospital or to a charity of personal choice.
