Mary Esther Powell

Mary Esther Powell, 74, was a member of the Assembly of God and loved her family, especially going to the movies with them on Sunday afternoon. She enjoyed gardening and canning and tending to her rose bushes. She was born in Goodman, Missouri and passed away in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Survivors include her children: Tammy (Gordon) Bice of Annieville, Arkansas, Jerry Powell of Lufkin, Texas, and Sophia (Shane) Willcockson of Highland, Arkansas; eight grandchildren: Crystal and Kevin Due, Allie and Levi Powell, Cali, Sydney, Lois, and Thomas Willcockson; seven great-grandchildren: Jack, Finley, Audrey, Steven, Trevor, Logan, and Lucas; two brothers, John and Daniel Lair; three sisters: Sharon Stockdale, Martha Ross, and Rebecca Taylor; many other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Maranatha (Miller) Lair; a brother, James; and four sisters: Evelyn, Kathryn, Margaret, and Lois May. Memorial services will be Saturday, March 13, 2021, at 11 a.m. in the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel at Highland.
