Matthew Sullivan

Matthew Jeffrey Sullivan Sr., 61, of Hardy, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026. He was born January 20, 1965, in Salem, Arkansas to John and Catherine Sue (Henning) Sullivan. He was a stone mason and a loving brother, uncle, father, and friend. Matthew enjoyed fishing and will be remembered for the deep love he had for his family. 

He is survived by his son, Matthew Sullivan Jr. of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; his daughter, Grace Cox of Paragould, Arkansas; his grandson, Knox Sullivan of Cherokee Village; two brothers, Pete Sullivan (Patty) of Highland, Arkansas and Michael Sullivan of Hardy; nine sisters: Margaret Duncan (Bobby) of Hardy, Cindy Benton of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Patricia Sample (Danny) of Harrisburg, Arkansas, Mary Jo Hollis (Ray) of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, Kathy Garrison of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Martha Stirling of Hardy, Lisa Montgomery of Horseshoe Bend, Suzie Baker (John) of Cherokee Village, and Jamie Williams (Ron) of Cherokee Village; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and many good friends.

Matthew was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert Sullivan; and his nephew, Bobby Lynn Duncan.

A memorial Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
