Paul Dean Brinkley was born in Poinsett, Arkansas to Richard and Marie Wilson Brinkley, both who preceded him in death as did a daughter, Paula Lenore Brinkley. He passed away at his home north of Hardy, Arkansas at the age of 87 years.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Lenore Jones Brinkley, of the home; a son, Ronnie Greene (Kathy) of Hardy; grandchildren, Kaily Greene and Kevin (Hope) Greene and great-grandchildren, Matthew and Macy; two sisters, Grace Winkle and Mary Brinkley Colona; a host of nieces and nephews along with many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by three siblings: Joanna Hammell, James Brinkley, and John Brinkley.
Paul was a deacon known as "candy man" in New Hope Baptist Church. He never met a stranger and loved everybody. He had worked as an electrician serving his country in the U. S. Navy and then was a mail carrier and ambulance driver.
Celebration of Life services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024 at New Hope Baptist Church north of Hardy on Hwy. 175 with military honors provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
Services are entrusted to Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
