Benjamin Peter Pruitt was born May 10, 2007 in West Plains, Missouri to Benjamin Isaac and Brittany Nicole (Bowles) Pruitt. He went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 31, 2026 in Cherokee Village, Arkansas at the age of 18 years.
Peter was raised in church, and he loved participating in church activities. He was a talented musician, playing drums, bass, organ, piano, guitar, and almost every instrument he could pick up. Peter was also a good singer and loved Gospel music.
He attended Fellowship Tabernacle in Brandsville, Missouri for a short time and then moved with his parents to Living Word Tabernacle in Gibson, Missouri where he committed his life to the Lord and was baptized. He made good friends there over the next ten years. When his father was chosen Pastor at Word of Life Tabernacle in Hardy, Arkansas, he became indispensable to his church family. Peter showed up with his dad two hours early for services just to make sure everything was ready to "have church". He was good with computers, sound, and video equipment and ran that department as well as being a drummer and backup musician on several other musical instruments.
Peter was exceptionally kind to his family and friends but also to pets and all wildlife. As a teenager he spent hours fascinated by everything in nature; no insect, bird, or reptile escaped his attention.
He attended Piggott Elementary and Junior High School, Highland High School, and then home school. Peter loved his family, playing basketball, fishing, and going to church camps, but most of all he loved the Lord. He especially enjoyed listening to recorded sermons of Bro. William Branham, playing them continuously in his room.
Peter is survived by his parents, Ben and Brittany Pruitt of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; two sisters of the home, Esther and Melody Pruitt; paternal grandmother, Sharon Pruitt; maternal grandparents, Dickie and Paige Bowles; his "granny" Fritz; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Pruitt.
