Ranyard Cleveland Richardson, 87, of near Ravenden, Arkansas in Lawrence County passed away in early September 2025 at his home. He was born in Ash Flat, Arkansas in mid-September 1937 and was a proud graduate of Ash Flat High School as an Eagle of the green and white. He later obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and worked in the insurance industry. He also had a career as an over-the-road truck driver. Ranyard was a veteran of the United States Navy and practiced the Christian faith. He was quite the storyteller and always enjoyed a good card game of pitch.
Ranyard was preceded in death by his parents, Fagan and Pleasant Nix Richardson, and his wife, Dorothy, of 21 years in California.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathryn Hake of Camden, Arkansas; a son, Jonathan Richardson of Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania; a grandson, Reiley Richardson; his sister, Helen Gratsch of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; and many other relatives and good friends around the world.
Graveside services with military honors will be Friday, September 5, at 1 p.m. in the Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat with Bro. Baron Wildmon of the Ravenden Baptist Church officiating.
