Sherri Adams Smith, 61, of Ash Flat, Arkansas, passed away on December 17, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Sherri was born on June 18, 1964, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to Carl and Lela Adams. She was a creative and spunky spirit who found happiness in the simple moments of life. She loved singing and dancing around the house, and she was a talented artist with a gift for creativity that extended into writing as well.
She is survived by her husband, John Smith; her daughters, Eva (Ryan) Ormsbee and LeAnna Lattimer, both of Ohio; and her step-son, Joshua McKinley, also of Ohio. Sherri was a proud grandmother to Jacob, Henry, Rhea, Calianna, Celia, Cylas, Alyssa, Alicia, Presleigh, Braxton, and Sawyer. She is also survived by her brother, Carthel Adams, and by throngs of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews whom she loved.
She is also remembered by her step-son and step-daughter, William McKinley and Sarah Seawell, step-grandson and step-granddaughter, Hunter and Alaxa, whom she never had the opportunity to meet.
Sherri was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lela Adams; her brothers, Carl Adams and Don Adams; her sisters, Linda Anderson and Carolyn Davis; and two babies born sleeping.
A memorial service will be held on January 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Ash Flat, Arkansas.
Sherri’s memory will live on through the lives she touched, the art she created, and the love she gave. May she rest in peace.
