Thomas Byk

Thomas Michael Byk, 67, of Poughkeepsie, Arkansas, passed away at his home. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Arlene (Schlack) and Joseph Gregory Byk, Sr., both of whom predeceased him. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam as well as supporting Operation Desert Shield Storm. Thomas had worked as a mechanic in the airline industry.  He was an excellent cook and enjoyed fishing, camping, watching wrestling and John Wayne movies. Survivors include his wife, Lisa May (Simons) Byk; four sons: Tommy Byk, Allen Raines, Russell Raines, and Kris Simons; five daughters: Denise Volk, Stacy Byk, Keli Campeau, Becky Raines, and Linsey Byk; a brother, Joseph Byk, Jr.; a sister, Terry Wyman; 24 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.The family will have private services at a later date.
