William Alvin Baney

Alvin Baney, 77, passed away at his home in Ash Flat, Arkansas. He was born in Pottersville, Missouri to William and Dolly (Ferguson) Baney, both who preceded him in death as did two children, William Baney and Elizabeth Clements, and several brothers and sisters. Alvin was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed fishing, going on picnics with the kids, building things of wood, and just watching cars. Survivors include his wife, Katherine Faye (Plunkett) Baney of the home; sons: James Alvin of Thayer, Missouri and Jessie of Ash Flat; daughters: Deloris (Kevin) McElya of Ash Flat and Dayla of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles; two sisters, Francis Roberts and Mildred Wood; many other relatives and good friends. Services will be Thursday, February 17 in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland, Arkansas. Visitation of family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat. Pallbearers will include Bo, Jimmy, & Chopper Baney, Carr Hill, Christopher Thomas, Kyle Hanna, and Jeremiah Fox.
