William "Bill" Jackson

William “Bill” Jackson was born March 17, 1938 in Charlotte, AR and passed into the arms of Jesus on July 8, 2023 at 85 years of age in Hardy, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Lee and Eva May Tripp Jackson; two brothers, Fred Jr. and Raymond Jackson; and four sisters: Ellen Beach, Florence Taylor, Frances Jackson, and Rose Dugger. Bill is survived by a loving family: his wife of 65 wonderful years, Willa Dean Jackson (they were united in marriage April 25, 1958); his children who loved him dearly: Teresa (Rick) Rikard of Batesville, AR, Lyndol (Carrie) of Newark, AR, and Deanna (Kirk) Brink of Hardy, AR; grandchildren: Sarah (Darris) Dixon, Charles (Malena) Rikard, Joshua Jackson, Libby (Brian) Walsh, Bradley (Kaylee) O’Neal, Alex (Anna) Brink, Miranda (Bradley) Morrow, and Zachary (Murphy) Bloomfield; seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister, Lucy Ann Manley of Kansas City, MO; many other relatives and a host of good friends. Bill was a loving family man, a Christian, and a deacon of the Spring River Baptist Church. His first job was driving a Royal Crown truck. He went to the pipeline for two years until leaving to raise his family. He began working for Tripp Gas Company in 1959 and continued until 1977 when it sold. He worked for other gas companies until 1994 when he became an HVACR inspector for the State of Arkansas continuing until retirement after fourteen years in 2008 at the age of 70. Bill was a volunteer fireman for the community of Center and the city of Hardy for many years and served part of that time as Fire Chief in Hardy. He sincerely enjoyed farming, gardening, archery, bowling, making clocks, and fishing. His greatest passion was his family. He really loved the grandkids and great-grandkids; they would light up his day! Visitation of family and friends will be Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland, AR. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 12 at the funeral home with grandson Charles Rikard officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Jackson, Darris Dixon, Deanie Dixon, Alex Brink, Zach Bloomfield, Kaden Brink, Gage Brink, and Bradley Morrow. Honorary Pallbearers include Walker Brink, Derek Brink, Riker Dixon, Henry Rikard, Davy Rikard, Bradley O’Neal, Malcom Hicks, Kenny Turner, and Royce McClure. "Dad, rest in peace until we meet again."
