William Jones Jr.

June 10, 1949 — April 29, 2023

William McKinley Jones Jr. was preceded in death by a son, Jesse; his parents; a brother; and a sister. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly C. Jones; two sons, William Jones III (Lindsey) and Antonio Jones (Lisbeth); one daughter, Amy Kaiama (Samuel); five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters; several nieces and nephews; three step-children: Paris, Holly, and Curtis P. Chancey; and thirteen step-grandchildren. William was born and raised in Sharon, Pennsylvania. He worked at the Sharon Herald as a copywriter and then moved to California and went to work at General Motors on an assembly line. In 1976 he moved to Washington with his family and started a job as a plumber. William joined Washington State Plumbers Union and became a journeyman plumber. He also became a licensed general contractor building his own home in 1986 and opening his own plumbing company. William thrived on watching his children play sports and was proud of how they went and pursued their dreams. He raced motor cross and go-carts and brought home numerous trophies. William was an avid horseman, hunter, and fisherman. His favorite place to ride and be at peace was Stampede Pass, Washington. William had a strong Christian faith and will be forever missed by his family and friends. A private celebration of his life will be held by his family in Washington State. “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven.” A time to be born and a time to die A time to plant and a time to uproot A time to kill and a time to heal A time to tear down and a time to build A time to weep and a time to laugh A time to mourn and a time to dance A time to tear and a time to mend A time to be silent and a time to speak A time to love and a time for peace ~Ecclesiastes 3
